With an estimate of over 2 million tourists to visit Costa Rica in 2011, the buzz among them will be "I could live in Costa Rica...".The fact is many former tourists to Costa Rica already do live here. Most came for the change of pace lifestyle or just because they fell inlove with the natural beauties, stable government, & lower cost of living. If you arrived in Costa Rica ten years ago to live you might of had to deal with a few "bumps in the road". The infrastucture of parts of Costa Rica was not keeping pace with the demand. But today you will notice (picture on the right) that less and less of the stories of old are being told and there are less "holes in the road" to deal with.
What you have in 2011 is a little different look of Costa Rica. The idea of moving to or investing in Costa Rica is not associated as much as it was with trying to come for a change in lifestyle to dirt cheap living or coming to live in the wild wild west of the tropics. Some are bummed by this change while others look at it as a chance to be involved at the start of a great step forward and some amazing opportunities.
The Costa Rican people are fielding a generation that is much better educated than years past and the Costa Rica people make up 95% of the employees of over 200 multinational companies here.
Stay tuned on our next post, we are going to give you the top five new reasons for thinking of Costa Rica as your next home or investment.
